Lovibonds Dark Reserve No.3 started out as a rich and luscious porter, crafted with a blend of seven malted barleys. Every year this brew takes our brewer and brewery to breaking point.

After extended conditioning in the brewery we patiently aged this beer in wooden barrels that first contained that world famous Tennessee Whiskey, then our Dark Reserve No.2

The result is a stunning marriage of two crafts.

Bottle Craft Clerkenwell tasting RBESG14. Black beer lasting beige head. Sour chocolate cherry dark. Not sure it should be like this. Likeable but not sure it’s supposed to be sour . Like a chocolate flemish sour.

[10/5/13] Bottle shared by tdtm82 at the Kernel brewery in London. Thanks Thomas! Bottle #157/500. Dark brown-colored. Aroma of wood, malt, some sourness, lots of dark fruits and whiskey notes. Sourish flavor, a bit sweetish, woody, with dark fruits, malt, caramel a bit of fun, a bit of chocolate, a light roasty note and a dry and slightly astringent finish. Medium to full-bodied. Nice stuff.
