Bottle from Cooperative Supermarket, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a thin head. Very light in terms of its pilsner character, but crisp and smooth in its ale-like texture.

Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is softish and a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Creamy malt, dry and with a touch of paper. Hops are okay - mild but fresh and as described on the label, a little herbal. Finishes dry. Not bad but could definitely use more hops.

Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Pours crystal clear yellow, lightly effervescent with a huge, foamy white head. Nose is all crisp dough and biscuits. Flavor is lightly sweet with some light dough, crackers, faint citrus zing, some light grassy bite. Pretty mild flavor. Medium bodied with average but cutting carbonation. Super crisp finish, some grains, doughy malts, light straw and grass. For a UK pils it isn’t bad. But it could stand to be a bit sweeter. It’s actually pretty dry. Quite refreshing, but does need a bit more malt foundation.
