18/7/2024. Cask at the 2024 Chelmsford Summer Beer & Cider Festival. Pours slightly hazy dark golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, malt, biscuit, grass, touch of herb. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Nice developing bitter finish. Quite enjoyed this.

Calderdale Beer Festival 2019, Halifax. Dark amber brew. This is a very strength-influenced hoppy ale.

On tap at the Ship Isis, Sunderland, Saturday February 2nd in the company of Peter Fowler, Steve Matthews and Peter's daughter Claire. Pours gold, fruity and juicy with lots of citrussy action, a lovely beer, and very popular amongst our small group.

Bottle - Caramel and light pine. Hazy orange with a decent head. Sweet and very fruit, with some orange and Passionfruit. A little over carbonated but still nice.

500ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a small head. Biscuity malt, peach and apricot in the aroma. Fruity and hoppy taste with notes of peach, biscuity malt and maple syrup.

Cask (gravity) @ 29th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2012, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, earthy, fruity, keller notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, hoppy, keller notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20121204]

Pigs Ear. Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Good marmalade hops with a dash of lemon. Semi dry finish. Standard stuff - done well.

Cask at Pigs Ear BF 2012, London. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam head. Nice ripe citrus nose, light spice. Light to medium sweet flavor, some minerals, pale malt, grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sticky finish, some orange, stones. OK stuff.
