Cask at Laine. It pours clear amber with a decent beige head. The nose is toasty, light caramel and floral stuff. The taste is crisp, lightly bitter, toasty, caramel, wood and floral notes with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Simple, but drinkable enough.

Cask handpump at North Laines Brewpub Saturday 8th March 2014 Pours amber with slim white head, reasonable clarity. A very, very average bitter, unbelievably average in fact. Have to say I was expecting better of this bar and of this beer but, middling bitterness, light fruitiness, lacking in hops d’yer know something, I really could be drinking something from the Marstons, GK, Batemans stable it really is that dull.
