Hamilton Hall Spoons. Clear dark brown beer, light pale tan head. Palate is slightly viscous and smooth. Low carbonation. Light roast on the mellow dark malt. Touch of coffee and then good tangy dark fruits. Smooth finish with a trace of smoke. Good flavours from this low abv stout.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear brown with a fine, creamy tan cap. Nose carries some tangy burnt malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with tangy dark malts, ash, mellow roast, hints of baking cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweetness to finish with further ashy roast, tangy dark malts, burnt toast, baking cocoa, light earthy bitterness, touches of burnt red meat. Not bad overall.

Cask at the Rupert Brooke (JDW), Rugby, 03/04/13. Light black with a decent tan head that retains well. Good lacing ensues. Nose carries roast malt, traces of chocolate, on the thin side. Taste comprises dark malts, molasses, leather, ash, light chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. Ok drinkable stout but lacks any great depth or flavour.

Has a full roasted aroma with a small head. Very black with lingering chocolates in its aftertaste.

Cask at the Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. Pitch colour with a tawny glow and a loose tan head; smoky, roasred malt aroma; soft and smoky in the mouth as well, with roasted malts and coffee grounds; and a dry finish. Pleasant but unexciting.
