50cl bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Hazy deep red brown with a thick lasting beige head. Piney hoppy aroma. Some malts in the mouth, then a big whack of piney hop on finish. Itโ€™s decent enough and kept compnay with my lunch. Typical interpretation of an american amber. Yes, itโ€™s pretty good and a style I very much like. Some sweetness. Yes pretty good.

Bottle at home. Amber colour good persistent cream head. Nose is toasted bread caramel malt some grassy piney hops. Flavour is medium sweet. Toasted caramel. Firm bitterness. Slight metalic taste in the finish. Medium carbonation. Could have been better with more hop aroma.

Gravity Dispense at Wandsworth Common Halloween Beer Festival 2012. Dark russet brown with reddish tinges and a good sized off white head. Nose is heavily infused with caramel malts, pine, hops and a little grapefruit. Taste follows. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Decent fayre.

(cask@Rake Barโ€™s Bristol Beer Festival) Pours amber/copper - a balance of sweet/dry malt and hops with a light body. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at No1 Harbourside, Bristol. Ruby red with a decent white head. Aroma of red berries, mandarins and pine with a touch of marzipan sweetness. Flavour had more fruit, a solid malt base and dry, lingering, resinous finish. Enjoyable.

Euston Tap. Lightly hazy amber beer. Tiny suddy white head. Light palate, semi dry. Something of a fresh air beer - mild malt, a little apples. Very mild orange hop. Dry finish. Dull, ephemeral and a bit green. Very disappointing!

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear amber with a foamy, white head. Toasty malt nose with notes of dirt. Medium sweet flavor, some toasty dough, dirt, earth, mild diacetyl notes, light-moderate bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light to mediums sweet finish with some toasted grass, toasty malts, some nuts, mild dried cranberries. Meh, doesnโ€™t do much for me.
