Draft at Craft Beer Co - Clerkenwell. Pours rich black with a creamy, beige head. Sugary dark malts in the nos, some dark fruits, too. Light sweet flavor with notes of tar, burnt bread, cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly drying on the finish, with notes of dark chocolate, mellow roast, baking cocoa. Pretty nice.

Bastard gusher of a bottle! Opaque dark brown beer with a huge gusher bastard tan head. Light palate, semi dry and airy. Minerals. Semi dry dark malt with a touch of dark chocolate. Tiny drop of red berry fruits. Trace of chilli, mild warmth - nicely judged. Dry finish. Not bad apart from the bastard gushing!

330ml bottle. Black colour with huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Fruity dark malty aroma with notes of red and dark berries, plum, a roasty touch, hints of tobacco. Taste is dry dark malty, roasty, hints of tobacco, in the finish bitter, herbal peppery spicy.

[Cask at Reading BF] Black with a tan head. Spicy, with smoke, port and creosote. Really spicy actually, quite a lot of chilli here. Good depth of flavor behind to support the spice though, a delicious, intriguing beer. Nice one.
