Brown with a sudsy, white head. Candy-like, toffee aroma reminiscent of Malzbier, accompanied by a light dankness. Interesting without being particularly enticing or repellent. Taste is moderate sweet throughout. The highlight is a hearty, grainy Roggenbrot-like flavor just underneath the malty sweetness. Body to the light side of medium, decent chewiness for an AF. It grew on me.

As Dunkle Weisse. Dark brown colour with lasting creamy head. Wheat, caramel, metal tank, ripe bananas. Sweet.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a hazy dark caramel brown colour with a thinnish creamy off white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, milk chocolate, caramel, nuts and brown bread. Taste has the same notes again with some added floral coming through. Thin to medium body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Unique beer with good depth of flavours and very decent.

Bottle. Muddy dark brown sporting a righteous white head. Aroma of caramel, malts, dark bread and bananas. Taste of malts, caramel, bananas, dark bread, yeast, nuts with hints of citrus fruits and coffee ending in a slightly herbal note. Low bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Full bodied. This is a really nice Dunkelweizen and probably the brewery‘s best output.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy chestnut brown, foamy head. Roasted nuts and almonds, dark bread, sourgdough, hints of banana and clove, light citrus. Malty yeasty sweetness, some dryness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry finish. Nice!

0.5 l bottle from local 'Raiffeisen' as 'Neumarkter Lammsbräu Dunkle Weiße', best before November 2020. Hazy, dark brown with a medium large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy aroma of overripe banana, chocolate, caramel and some clove. Moderately sweet, gently bitter, malty, quite yeasty-spicy taste of chocolate, caramel, toasted nuts, overripe banana and some clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, fairly yeasty-spicy and slightly roasty finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Solid Dunkelweizen, not too deep but quite intense while maintaining its balance.

Röstig, fast schon rauchig. Malzig, schokoladig, Spuren von Kaffee. Gute Substanz. Recht schmackhaft. Noch besser als die helle Variante. Eines der besten dunklen Bio-Weizen, die ich bisher getrunken habe.

Bottle from Dortmunder: thanks very much! Orange, banana and especially yeast both in aroma and flavor. Fairly herbal with hints of caramel.The yeasty character prevails and beats the obvious fruitiness of the beer. Not my favorite.
