Hand pulled third of a pint in The Boot on 26th September 2025. Black body, beige head that lasted. Malty brew with chocolate being the main player flavour wise, some decent hop action prevents it getting too sweet.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Floral, fruity hoppy and roasty dark malty aroma, hints of orange and...; the hop flavours are rather ephemeral and give way to hints of liquorice and burnt coffee all too easy - not more than a weak floral honey touch remains. Taste is roasty dark malty and fruity hoppy, hints of mandarine, orange, orange zest, orange flavoured dark chocolate, a touch of honey, minimally metallic overtones; almost a bit watery - it seems that the hop flavours can't be tied down to too light a body at large.

500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.2%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of moderately roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee. The slightly dry flavour has also roast malts, coffee and dark chocolate, hints of tar and liquorice.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Black. Aniseed and licorice up front. Dry with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and licorice, soft and pleasant. Mid bitter finish.
