Tamar Black is a rich, dark, deep roasted stout. Roast barley and English Goldings hops are balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. A real favourite leaving you wanting more.

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal tan head and good lacing. The aroma is a combination of malts, lactose and vanilla. Toast malts again the mainstay in the mouth, along with cola and liquorice, plus hints of ginger. It’s a bit thin and watery though. A little bitterness in the finish. Quite nice overall.

Fra cask på Nowhere Inn 26 Sep 16. Svart. Lavt skum med litt farge. Aroma av røyk & bacon. Smaken det samme. Lett tørr etter hvert. Gjennomgående karamellpreg.

Cask ale, half-pint at Nowhere Inn. Patchy surface, fragile lacing. Close to black in the glass. Roasted dark malty aromas, hints of dark fruits. Chocolate, dark dough and dark fruity flavours followed by a nicely roasted ending. Tasty, easy drinking stout (Plymouth 26.09.2016).

Draft at GBBF 2014 - London. Pours rich black-brown with a creamy tan head. Nice ash and dry chocolate, light roast, burnt toast, earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Torched malts in the finish, with nice overall roast, more chocolate and earth. Good balance. Solid.

GBBF Day 4. Cask. The great Harrisoni/madmitch76 walkabout. Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and soft. Very mild carbonation. Rich dark malts, light malt cream. Touch of roast. Mildly tangy dark fruits. Light dry finish. Decent.
