This is one of the beers that made me love heavy sours. Glad to see it still holds up so well. Heavy sour. Wine, bourbon, spices. Very complex, a bit fruity and super heavy. A total monster of a beer, and so damn good.

On tap at Cardinal Pub, Stavanger. Very dark colour, nearly black. Intense aroma of bourbon, oak and vanilla. Relatively light bodied for its strength, low carbonation. Medium sour flavour, notes of bourbon, oak, vanilla and sour berries. Very moderate hops.

On tap at the beer temple. Pours black with little head. Aroma is loads of bourbon, sour cherries, dark malts, figs. Big body, smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is amazing, complex, layered and smooth at 12%. Just perfect - it brings out the best of a porter, a sour and the barrel-aging is the cherry on top. An amazing hybrid style by itself, it's one of the best sours and porters I've had.

Tap at BeerTemple, 20th June 18. Pours black and velvety. Aroma is intense, balsamic, vinous, barrel. Taste is, as expected, intense, delicious, barrel, wood, balsamic vinegar in a good way. It's a beast and good to sip and enjoy.
