Bottle from Ramsbury Brewery, consumed at home Sunday 3rd December 2017 whilst cooking a Chicken, Tarragon and Mushroom Pie with Truffle Mash. Pours nigh on black but with a ruby glint and an off white head. Solid stout, very pleasant indeed, roasty, light sweetness, chocolate and a little hint of cappuccino. Very well put together. . Bottle at a Chriso tasting, London - thanks to the big man himself. Pours rich, red-brown with a sturdy, tan cream head. Dusty cocoa nose. Light to medium sweet with a very smooth flavor of dark bread, cocoa and faint earth. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Light to medium sweet finish with dusty cocoa, a bit of lightly earthy hops, basic toast. A very drinkable beer overall.
