I would describe this as a strong golden ale. Good flavours of malt and bitter hops and a kick of alcohol give a a nice mouth feel. I would drink this again well chilled while sitting in the garden. Overall a reasonable pint.

Bottle from Waitrose, Stevenage. Amber coloured with a thin head. Has a sugary caramel toffee sweetness in both its aroma and taste.

Bottle from Morrisons drunk on a train. A malty premium bitter with some date flavour and prunes. A little house yeast character on the aroma. Yes actually I rather like this. A malty bitter. Light bitter English hop finish. I liked it.

Bottle from Morrisons. Deep gold with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet, biscuity malts, a faintly metallic edge, leafy hopd and a decent, bitter, finish. OK.

Bottle from Morrison’s minehard. Aroma is tangy grains, some toffee apple, rustic notes. Light amber / golden coloured pour with a fading thin off white head. Flavour is harsh grains, tanin, light toffee, light apple, harsh dirty grassy bitterness. Palate is grainy, spritzy carbonation, tanin. Bitterness is a bit harsh.

Early hours of 5th Mar 2015: 500ml bottle BBD 30th Nov 2015. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home. Clear light amber body, thin blotchy white head. Semi-sweet malty molasses in the nose tempered with a fruitiness which leaned towards an apple aroma. Taste also malty and semi-sweet, again with a fruity nature. Mild toffee apple flavours come to mind as the beer warms a little. I liked it.
