This american style brown ale is named in honor of the left handed, Flat pickin, apalachian genius, doc watson. It features a beautiful malt body crafted from the interplay of caramel, chocolate wheat and extra special malts which are all balanced by Cascade hops.

Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours faintly hazy amber with a light, cream head. Toasty malt nose with faint toasty leaves and semi-dark fruits. Cask@GBBF2012. Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, caramelly, floral and also has some nuttyness. Flavour is very similar in a nice balance. Also some mild vanilla, chocolate and dry wood in the flavour.

Gbbf 2012. clearish brown beer. An ok best bitter with a bit more brown malt. Decent brown malty beer could do with a bit more body. Some hop on finish.

Aroma is nutty with some roastiness and hints of hay. Flavour is sweetish with nuts and some English hops. Dry finish. Good, nothing offensive here.
