Gravicask at Camra’s NWAF. Shared with Finn. Inky black body. No head, poor lacing. Dark fruity nose added by roasted malts. Mixed taste of dark fruits and dark dough. Hints of roasted malts to the finish. Medium bodied. On an average level, more or less (Derby 17.02.2016).

Cask at the Blue Anchor, Helston. It pours jet black with a thick light tan head. The nose is rich roast, liquorice, polished leather boots, earth, umami and some dark fruits. The taste is rich roasted malts, salted liquorice, ash, lightly charred wood, umami, tangy blackcurrant jam and light acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Has a nice old-school stout vibe. Good stuff.
