330ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a small head. Peach, syrup, toffee and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy, fruity and rather bitter taste with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, mango and peach. The finish is crisp, hoppy, fruity and bitter. Its drinkability belies its strength.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 28/7/2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Heavy aroma of tangerines, grapefruit and biscuity malts with a whiff of alcohol. Full mouth feel, with plenty of caramel sweetness, more citrus fruit, and a hint of pine. Finish was moderately dry and boozy. Good.

Bottle from Jacks, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Friday 13th July 2012 Consumed at home Saturday 14th July 2012 Hazy fantazi dark gold with soft creamy off-white head. Sweet and sour oranges and lemons, some thickness in the mouth but Loz not a fan. A little fuzzy furry coating across the mouth, Sweet with citrus touch of harshness and pithiness, its good but not great. Aroma is strange bit like a warm dustbin. A5 A3 T8 P4 Ov13 3.3

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a soft, white cream head. Pretty heavy hop nose with lots of raw grass, hop leaves and ripe grapefruit. Medium to strong sweet flavor with high bitterness, some orange juice, citrus peel, alcohol, rubbing alcohol, grass and earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with aggressive bitterness, heady alcohol, deep grass, ripe orange, grapefruit, faint toasty sugar. It’s pretty rough in several ways. The hops and booze come on quite strong. This one needs some tweaking.

Bottle from Trafalgar Wines, Brighton. It pours cloudy golden amber, with a thin white head. The nose is resin, spice, sweet tinned fruit and pine. The taste is pine, resin, intense fruitiness, spice, massive alcohol warmth, orange pith and marmalade, with a bitter, alcoholic finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Too boozy.
