Bottle from Melbecks Garden Centre, Coleshill. Pours a clear mahogany with small off white head. Aroma of light toast and toffee malts with a grassy and spicy hops. Taste of toasted grain, caramel, somewhat sweet but offset nicely with a grassy and herbal bitterness, some spice. Smooth body with the help of some golden syrup but not overdone. Excellent bitter.

500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. Clear copper to amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, brown bread, syrup and honey, also earthy English hops. The flavour is slightly more sweet than dry, with discrete notes of syrup and honey, also bready malts and earthy hops, some berry hints too. Good body for its ABV. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Fin floral bitterhet. Kan gjerne gjentas med full pint.

Fra fat på Brass Monkey, Plymouth 22 Sep 16. Gyldenbrun. Filmskum. Lett rosinaroma. Smaken rosin & svisker. Blir tørr etter hvert. Litt syrlighet i avslutninga.

Cask ale shared with Finn at Brass Monkey. Dotted spots from an almost naked surface. Clear amber body. Subdued aroma of caramel malts. Mixed flavour character of bread, caramel and some impact of lemony hops. Short lived malt bitter finish. So and so (Plymouth 22.09.2016).
