Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours hazy amber with a creamy, white head. Sugary, light toasty malt nose, some leaves. Light sweet flavor with more leaves, some dry and toasty malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly dry to finish with still more light, toasty malts. It’s fine overall, just a bit one-dimensional.

Bottle unsurprisingly from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Caramel, butterscotch and orchard fruit aroma. Toffee apple, caramel and pineapple flavour. Bitter-sweet finish. Not too bad.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012. It pours hazy amber, with a thin beige head. The nose is freshly baked brown bread, toast, raisin, currant and plum. The taste is toast, charry, leather, hint of tanginess and rubber, with a dry finish. Medium body and lowish carbonation. Ok.
