A crisp Blonde Ale. Golden in color, medium in body - she’s brewed with the help and the honey of Durango ’s Honeyville bees.

Can. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a small frothy white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a light malt with grain. Medium mouthfeel with a light wheat and citrus and honey. Easy to drink a decent blond from SKA.

Wow, I’m going way against the grain on this one. The aroma was floral and malty with hibiscus and daffodil notes. Very clear golden, thin head. Fantastic honey and hibiscus flavor with bits of dandelion. Quite possibly my favorite beer from SAVOR.

Very hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of malt, honeysuckle, light hops and a touch of spice. Light-bodied; Strong mild flavour of malt, apricots, sugars and a touch of honey. Pretty mild and very unassuming throughout. Aftertaste shows some sugars, a touch of malt and mostly sweet flavours, with a hint of cardboard. Overall, not so great, but nice to try, regardless! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Colorado Liquor Mart in Denver, Colorado on 14-February-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 31-May-2010.

12 oz can purchased at Lukas, Overland Park, Kansas. Pour is clear straw golden with a nicely formed 1 1/2 inch white head. The head is lasting, eventually falls with decent lacing. Aroma is cracker grain maltiness, along with mild honey sweetness, and an herbal earthiness in the back. Taste resembles the nose, with grain cracker malt, almost a wheatiness, followed close behind by the herbal honey, but the taste is much less clean than the nose had been. There is an almost chemical dirt earthiness in the finish which really detracts from the more gentle malt and honey. Palate is medium bodied, decent amount of carbonation and the chemically dirty finish. Overall, not sure how fresh this one was, or how well it was handled in transit. I have had this beer previously, and remember liking it much better than this. I will give another shot if I get it closer to the source.

Poured from 12 oz bottle. Pours very thin with a non-existent head, aroma is of a very faint malt and honey. Taste surprised me a bit, tastes like a kolsch with the backing bite of honey.

Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: Canned version. The beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a thin and fizzy white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Mild floral hops and sweet malt in the nose. Light, clean body with flavors of sweet honey and grainy malt along with mildly bitter hops. The finish is short and lightly bitter. Barely average overall.

Bottle. Pours with a clear pale yellow body with a white foamy head on top. Aroma is grassy, light caramel, straw, corn and a bit of honey. Taste is grainy and corny with light bitterness. A bit of dust to the taste. Fizzy and dry.

Bot6tle from cbkschubert: Thanks! Nos eof sweet malt with "a taste of honey" (for all you Herb Alpert fans (old farts)); slighty hazy gold with a small white head; Light, sweet, malty flavor with the honey! A bit of hops in the finish of the light- mrdium body. a flavorful blonde ale, underrated!

Loose bottle from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Definitely the American brewpub style of blond ale. Pours a big rocky head. Yellow body, kind of hazy with lots of floaties. Crisp and kind of lemony, with that bit of honey peeking through. Basic noble hop component. A good beginner’s craft beer. Date notch says it was bottled in October, so it’s held up OK.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is vanilla and honey sweetness. Flavor is creamy but very watery. Nothing really going on here. Another bland brew from this brewer
