Fra kran på Ølhallen. Ekstremt mørkebrun. Egentlig svart. Pent tett skum som stabiliserer seg lavt. Teppelacing. Veldig god sjokoladearoma med innslag av bær. Smaken er tørr sjokolade med hint av lakris. Blir behagelig tørr etterhvert. Skikkelig koseøl. Velbalansert.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Murky dark amber with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is dark fruits, spice, biscuit, toffee. Taste comprises toffee fudge, earthy light cocoa sprinkle, baking powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok but lacks depth for the ABV pretty basic profile.

Big 750ml bottle, #515, from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Fawn coloured head with satisfying duration and lacing. Dark amber coloured body. Brown malts on the nose, hints of caramel and earth, mild roasted. Caramel and earthy malts to the flavour, notes of chocolate as well. Herbal dry, roasted bitter endnotes. Soft in the mouth. Has got its moments of joyful beer drinking (shared with Stefan, Elisabeth and Finn, Tårnrommet, Tromsø 26.02.2014).
