Bottle, picked up at the brewery, donks ago. Properly cellared since. Opened with a decent pop. Poured a lively, clear dark amber. Finest off white head. So far, so good. Nose has toffee and pan stuck caramel. Sweaty knackers. Cardboard. Some sherry shizzle. All of that. Taste is super sweet, with an earthy, grassy bitterness. Medium body. Robust carbonation, somehow. Toffee and cardboard to finish. You get the idea.

Clear deep golden color with a white head. Dotted lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonation level. A bit sweet and a bit oily texture. Dried fruits, toffee, bready and some marmalade in the flavor. Decent ale.

Swing-top bottle no. 545 kindly shared by Grumbo at Fat Cat in Norwich. Covering white head to a near-clear dark golden body. Minimal lacing. Aroma of marmalade fruits. Dried fruits and grainy malts to the flavour character providing a jam-like taste. Nice bittersweet ending. Well bodied. Pleasant last drink at this session at the Fat Cat (18.02.2017).

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours hazy orange with a fine, white cream head. Tangy citrus nose. Medium sweet flavor with tangy berries, wood, light funk, birch, dry lemon and other citrus. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Tangy finish with some woody dryness and tangerine. OK beer. Good effort for a UK brewery.
