Een krachtige bier om de eerste herfst stormen te doorstaan. In de traditie van Nederlandse bokbieren valt onze bokbier op door haar stevige smaak. Zeker niet overdreven zoet!

A strong beer to withstand the first autumn storms. In keeping with the tradition of classic Dutch bock beers, this beer stands out for its rounded and solid flavour. Certainly not overly sweet!

That I never rated this means I haven’t had this in at least 7 years....Tap @ In De Wildeman. Very dark brown color. Firm beige head. Aroma’s: malty sweet, caramel malts. Also roasted and drop retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, light roasted and drop. Medium bodied. Finish is roasted, moderate bitter. Not bad (for a bock).

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Gall&Gall Culemborg. Light brown with a thin off-white head. Malty caramel aroma with some, slightly rotten, red fruits. Sweet taste with an underlying bitterness and some metallic notes. Not the most clean beer ever but enjoyable nontheless.

Bottle from Gall and Gall Alkmaar, consumed at Frank Camping Corfewater, Petten, Nord Holland, Netherlands Tuesday 27th September 2016 Pours murky, puddly brown with a light beige head. A little spice, bread and yeastiness with a little earthy damp wet wood and leaves also swishing around. Tasted is a little rustic, caramel, a bit bread, a bit of oomph noted. It’s a fine if unremarkable beer. Good. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

(Bottle, De Prael Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2016) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit and dark bread. Malty taste with caramel, toffee, chocolate, dark fruit and a slightly bitter-sweet finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness and a gentle bitterness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. A bit hazy dark reddish brown whit beige head. Light cardboard and figs, really quite watery up front. Then some brown sugar, dark brown bread and a touch of chocolate and dried leaves. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with very slick, a bit watery feel.
