Bottle. Clear gold, with a slight, white, head and a touch of fizziness. Aroma of sweetish malts with a touch of hop bite. Flavour was malty in the main, with some sweetness up front, followed by a lingering, bitter, finish. A decent lager.

Bottle at home in London - scooped up at the M&S on Queensway, in the Whiteleys. Pours totally clear yellow-gold, lightly effervescent, with a creamy white head. Simple dried cereal in the nose with hints of biscuit and ripening lemon. Medium sweet flavor with more basic cereal malts, bread, straw, sugar. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with faint bitter hay, more bread and cereal, slight dry biscuits. A little cheap-tasting but not altogether bad.

Decent, dry, grassy aroma and taste, but would have enjoyed it a lot more, save for the harshly metallic aftertaste I’ve been left with. No other rates seems to mention this, mind you. Maybe it’s just me...
