Cloudy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Soft airy palate. Sweet creamy malt with a caramel streak. Sweet generic fruits underneath. Medium smoke in good balance. Finishes soft and semi dry with mild minerals. Unusual beer. Tasty.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy bacon aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bittter finish. Not the worst baconbeer I have tried but I still dont like it. Oily palate.

Old rating, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Lett fyldig frisk røykt lukt med preg av malt, humle, røyk, ugras, karamell, høy, korn, litt sjokolade og tørka frukt. Sødmerik lett røykt smak med preg av malt, humle, sukker, røyk, karamell, gras, høy. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Grei, alt for søt.

Bottle shared with Vetiafan. Pours a hazy dark nut brown colour with a beige medium head. Aroma of pepper, spices, wood, leather and smoked meat. Chorizo? I find the same in the flavour but feels sweeter with rye bread, caramel and roasted almonds. Slick and soft mouth feel, and has a light to medium bitterness. A balanced and wonderful smoked ale.

Bottle. Pours hazy maroon, with a creamy, lightly coloured head. Aroma is nice burned malts, peat and caramel sweetness. Flavour is pretty weird and very sweet, with bread and molasses, as well as some burned malts. Grainy sweet finish.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 09.05.2017
Aroma is somewhat sweet and quite unique with smoke, tar and blue cheese – feels like a smoked game. Flavour is somewhat sweet with smoke, tar and some caramel. Peppery spices in the finish. Palate becomes sticky after some sips. Rich and good, drinking a whole bottle would be a long process though. No signs of tripel here.

0.5l bottle. This is a almost near plum-murky brown one with a medium sized light bubbly light beige head. It smells soft watery smoky and a bit ham-like. A little bit of fruitiness also going on, but not much more really - but I like smoky ham. It's quite sweet in taste. Sweet and really smoky. Feels a bit one dimensional and I have to admit that it's a way to sweet for my tongue. Still, quite alright paired with pizza. 21.09.2012

500 ml bottle @ Geokkjer lambicfarm. Cloudy, dark orange body with a nice light beige head. Aroma of smoked malt and campfire in a rather pleasant way. The flavor is quite sweet, smoked malt, bacon, campfire and not much bitterness. Medium body and a sweet, smoked aftertaste. This beer is promising in aroma and the first few sips, then I find it too sweet and sticky to be in balance.
