Cask gravity at Reading BF 2011. Amber copper colour with lasting beige head. Extremely pleasant hoppy bitter. Tasty biscuity bitter with good full hop on finish. Excellent understated bitter

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 6 Aug 2010) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, orange, biscuity malt and dusty hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with biscuity malt, apricots, a touch of orange and a generous earthy bitterness in a dry finish. Rather light body, mainly dry. Quite nice and tasty.

[Cask at the Nag’s Head, Reading] Light amber. Very hoppy and bitter from the off, with some sweet citrus behind. In fact, the more I drink, the more I think it’s possibly the bitterest UK session ale I’ve ever tried. Now, normally I don’t think high hop rates work with UK-style ales, but Two Bridges seem to have cracked it - this is refreshing and very more-ish indeed. Another great offering from this fledgling brewery - I’d like to see them try a full-strength IPA though.
