Draft pour. I expected this to be a really dark pour and was suprised. Amber pour. Spicy aroma. A lot of milk chocolate up front with a long lasting caramel finish. Very sweet. This was a great beer to try but its not one that I would sit and drink. I like it, but cant say I love it.

Bottle. A- Earthy, veggies, spices, barnyard. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Bittersweet, spices, alcohol, funky, yeasty, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, odd finish. O- Virtually no chocolate taste, at least as far as I could tell. Lots of strange flavors that didn’t seem to blend the best. I was totally thrown off my the name. Either I had a bad bottle or everyone else just has better taste buds that me.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate and nutty malt notes is quite interesting. Taste is also dominated by really nice floral black chocolate notes without much bitterness. Nutty caramel malt notes are also easily discernible and really enjoyable. Body is about average with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable and nice integration of chocolates notes without going back to a stout.

Keg at Beermongers in Portland, OR on 5 June 2013. Pours a dark brown with a lingering light brown head. Aroma of some coffee and subtle chocolate. Chocolate far less subtle in the flavour... This is really sweet and I had a hard time finishing my 5oz glass. I don’t like overly sweet chocolate anyway, but although this may appeal to some, to me it tasted like a nice porter that someone tipped a whole box of Hershey bars into...

tap at Dash In (Mar 7, 2012) - This draft beer has a good milk chocolate aroma and a small off-white head. It tastes of sweet chocolate and caramel malt. Also did I mention chocolate? Yeah, it’s there. The finish is still sweet but not cloying. Good. Sampled again at Ft Wayne RB tasting - My notes are similar the 2nd time around and my rating is exactly the same. 7/3/7/4/14
