5.5 is the most popular sibling in the beer family. The Alec Baldwin or Michael Jackson of J.R. beers. (Sorry Tito.) Find this dry, yet mildly spicy lager anywhere people with good taste sell beer.

Bottle: Poured a super light yellow color lager with a large bubbly pure white head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of light adjunct and residual sugar. Taste is bland though adjunct do not overtake too much from the taste. Body is quite light with good carbonation. Not bad for the style though not something I will seek out again – too bland for my taste.

This lager poured a crystal clear, light yellow colour with a big, bright white, foamy head. To the nose there are scents of eggs, corn and sweet malt. First taste was watery with a almost wine flavour to the finish. This was then tapered to a watery corn flavour. Generic white bread swill.

Pours pale color with white head. Aroma is not so good. Taste that is there is pretty bad. I do not much like it, but apparently in Canada you have less choice of cheap beers. At least it has an extra .5 alcohol.

A pale blonde LAGER!! with a thick froathy white head. A rather sweet malt aroma, a bit soapy. In mouth, typical Moosehead, with sweet malt, light hopping, inoffensive, and a bit too sweet for my liking. Beerstore, 10.75$ for a 8-pack of cans.
