This is our Raspberry Stout, strong and black, yet tart and fruity, a delicious treat of a beer. Surprisingly drinkable, there are flavours of raspberry, chocolate & dark fruits. Brewed using a Belgian yeast & roasted malts & 25kg of Raspberries!
A great after-dinner treat. Drink from a brandy snifter & savour the aromas & flavours.

Bottle. Opaque black in colour with a decent, frothy tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, caramel, a whiff of charcoal and some raspberry fruit. Flavour had plenty of chocolate sweetness before some lingering, tart raspberries culminating in a gently dry finish. Excellent.

500ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Plain chocolate, raspberry gateau and roasted malt all feature in the enticing aroma. The taste is rich and fruity with roasted malt, chocolate and raspberries all combining nicely. There is nice balanced sweetness and fruitiness in the finish.

Bottled@my birthdaybash@Chriso. Black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is raspberries, roasted malts, some slight toffee and mild woode nntoes. Flavour is being the same, but the raspberries are dominating a bit too much.

Bottle at home shared with my dad 20.12.11 ordered direct from Bristol Beer Factory. Pours dark in fact lets not beat about the bush here it is black with a lovely beige head, looks stunning. Nice mouthfeel, fruity, tangy the raspberries showing well but not too dominant. If I have a criticism then I would say that it is a little sweet at times, but for a 7.7% beer it drinks very easily. Bottled at oh6gdx’s birthday bash at chriso’s. Black, small head. Aroma of cocoa and rapsberries. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Rich flavour of raspberries covered in thick layers of dark chocolate. Unusual and tasty with good balance. A beer that truly stands out.

Bottle at Pat’s chriso birthday tasting. Pours rich brown with medium, tan head. Mild roasted malt nose, light booze, subtle raspberries. Medium sweet flavor with rich, nice raspberry notes, mild roast, light chocolate. Medium to full in body with fine carbonation. Faintly warming finish, great chocolate and raspberry character, some cake. The raspberries are used to wonderful effect here. Really solid beer overall. (3.9)
