Lots of lavender, rose petals, rosemary, mandarin zest, herbed cheese. Sour mandarin, rhubarb, gooseberry, lots of herbal lavender, bit bitter at that. Woody & herbal finish, bit tannic, soapy. Unusual, wouldn't seek it out again per se but it's quite good.

Bottle shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma is really really weirdly floral. Not my thing at all. Flavor is balanced sour with lavender again. Meh in the end imo though. 8-5-6-7-6

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Pours a generally clear gold, white head. Big lavender whiff. Dominating floral perfumed character with a confident sour edge, spritzy fuzzy carb, with a lovely underlying geuze character. Just a little too much lavender tho.

1/III/25 - 75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (2025 Winter/Spring edition), BB: 31/XII/26 (2025-162) Thanks to Bierridder for sharing the bottle!
Clear orange beer, small creamy irregular white head, unstable, falls down quickly. Aroma: lots and lots of lavender, violet candy, sourish impression, a bit lemony, also sweet and sugary aromatic impressions. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, fruity, gentle acidity, apples, a bit floral, some lavender, ok. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, acidic, a bit spicy, herbal, very floral, lots of lavender but surprisingly not too much actually, some tannins, decent!

Bottle at Belgian Beer Geeks Gathering. Clear golden with white head. Massive lavender, soft oak, funky, soap, caramel. Solid sour, light sweet. Medium bodied. Strange but not bad!

BB 31/12/2026 – ce qui semble peu pour une gueuze (peut-être pour préserver le caractère de la lavande,) – je note aussi que cette version propose un assemblage de lambics s’étalant entre 1 et 6 ans, le tout en provenance de chez DeTroch, Eylenbosch et Den Herberg.
Dorée, léger voile, col fin blanc.
Arôme sur un bouquet marqué par la lavande – qu’il faut déjà apprécier pour ne pas y voir allusion avec les produits de nettoyage. Je retrouve en retrait un délicat apport de funk – lambics / gueuze. Sans être brouillon le tout reste bien ficelé.
Palais reste très sec avec un effet funk, malté délicat des divers assemblages – le tout est correcte avec l’apport de la lavande qui est parfumé sans tomber dans les travers qui lui sont parfois associés. Pas certain de la valeur ajoutée de la lavande où cela passe un peu pour les expérimentations style Oud Beersel.
