500ml bottle: BB 5th June 2020. Poured into an Abbot Ale pint tankard at home on 15th June 2019. Lovely clear copper body, white topping. Wheat, banana and caramel esters in the nose, taste also caramel sweet and wheaty in nature with a banana undertone. Liked it.

Bottle at home picked up form Watford Dome Roundabout Saisbury’s. A clear golden light orange coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is sweet honey malts, banana cake, little wit yeast quality, Flavour is composed of sweet slightly stale malts, tired honey, gooey banana bread, light grassy hop. Palatre is medium sweet, slightly graint, moderate carbonation. Little alcohol bite in the finish . ok.

Bottle. Probably the best aspect of this is the distinctive St Peter’s bottle, although it’s green not brown so the ale may not be as well kept in its container as it could be and I noticed a small skunky aroma. Golden with a thin head and light texture. Some grassy earthy notes apparent.

Nose is wheat, banana, slight marzipan. Taste wheat, marzipan, almonds. Amenable but far too sweet. Not a patch on a proper wheat beer.

Bottle from the Cromwell Road Sainsbury’s in London. Pours light copper with a few white bubbles. Aroma is mostly floral, but there could be some grass. Med body. Very sharp carbonation. Flavor is bitter floral/herb. With some roasty malt. Maybe it’s herby. Certainly hard to pin it down, cause the malt is spicy? Tastes pretty good. Finishes on the bitter side.

500ml bottle. Clear golden yellow colour, bubbly white head and hoppy malt aroma. Taste is spicy malt, with some grassy bitterness. Lager-like body. OK
