Traditional bitter. Citrus hops, toffee fruits and blackcurrant with a malty backbone.

Jolly Beggars is brewed using Brewers Gold Hops from Southern Germany, with Maris Otter, Light Crystal and Dark Crystal Malts, to produce a traditional style best bitter with plenty of character.

Spotty beige head on an amber coloured body. Malt, peppery & bitter fruity aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a foamy dry back. Malt, liquorice, peppery & toffee tastes. Easy going.

500ml bottle, online from the source. Pours ruby chestnut with a white head. Aroma: toast, earth, caramel, fruit cake. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, toasty, caramel, brown bread, light dried fruits. Medium body with soft carbonation.

Bottle from The Avenue Store. Clear amber body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, wood and nuts. Flavour of roasted malt, dried grass and a tangy finish. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. A well balanced Bitter.

Clitheroe Beer Festival 2015. Hazy copper colour. Has a sweetened floral nose with a small stewed fruit taste.

Cask at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Originally rated 07092012. Colour is clear copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Dryness, fruits, bitterness and malts.

Cask at Halfway House. It pours deep red-brown with a thick white head. The nose is toasted brown bread, earth, leather, light caramel/brown sugar, fruit cake and dried fruit. The taste is smooth, toasty, some bitterness, light caramel, wood, brown bread, light spice and dried fruits with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Nice balance and great drinkability. A great bitter.
