On tap (keg) at the Black Isle bar, Inverness, Monday 26th September 2022, in the company of Nick and Anna. Pours black with a mid sized light beige head. Chocolate, roasted malts and coffee feature heavily on the nose, but with a little whiff of custardy vanilla. Would be interesting to try this on cask, the keg version is very smooth, nice moutheel, a little creamy, chocolate and coffee and too a lesser extent, vanilla. Well put together and punches above its weight for the abv, btw listed as porter on the Black Isle bar Inverness beer list.

Keg at Black Isle Bar. It pours black with a decent light brown head. The aroma is big hit of coffee upfront, rich roasted malt, coffee cake, vanilla, mars bar, maltesers, touch of chocolate and soft gooey marshmallow. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, toasty, earthy roast, coffee vibes, milky, creamy vanilla, touch of dried fruit, light umami, toasted marshmallow, coffee cake, charred action and light spice with a dry, toasty finish.. average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Nice balance. Moreish.
