Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of yeast, citrusy hops, and grass. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, hops, grass, yeast, and water, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle: Hazy, golden with an orangey sheen, loose but lacy white stable head, first piney, later citrussy hoppy nose, yeast and pale malt underneath; almost medium bodied, quite silky, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; lingering piney and fruity finish, quite slim. Just another good Kernel.............

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 03.12.11 Pours very milky colour almost looks like banana juice or a banana milkshake, however the unusual looks are nothing to be concerned about as it tastes and smells very good. Tangy and fruity with some orange showing and as Ian suggests it has a dirtiness about it which is appealing.Tropical aromas on the nose complete the picture. A7 A2 T8 P4 Ov15 3.5

500ml bottle. Pours a very hazy orange with a thin head. Aroma is earthy, woody with a touch of lemon and lime. Taste is a little earthy to start. Medium bitter finish. Getting the lime jelly.

Bottle at the brewery. Pours cloudy gold with a big, fluffy white head. Has a huge, juicy hop nose, tropical to the max, light grass and pine. Great flavor, very clean, light to medium sweet, mild notes of pine, lots of citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Clean, faintly sticky finish with more floral hops. Just an overall outstanding APA.

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours cloudy light orange, with a massive yellow-white head and suspended particles. The nose is yeast, orange pith, salt, lemon Cif, pine, leather and sweaty sock. The taste is pine, yeast, light spice, orange pith, leather, bread and pepper, with a dry finish. Medium body, creamy mouth-feel and lively carbonation. Decent, but not the most exciting of Kernel Pale Ales.
