On tap @Beerland Trilussa (Rome). Pours a cloudy reddish color with a medium white head. Aroma is malty, biscuit, caramel, earthy notes, grass, fruits. Flavour is quite balanced, medium malt profile with a decent bitter end. Medium body, light carbonation. Nothing special.

(Bottle) Clear copper with reasonable but short lived head. Subtle, lightly malty aroma with some nice hop notes. Medium body with mouth-filling carbonation. Very nice rich taste - toffee malts with spicy and bitter notes. Excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle courtesy of Barry at Lynn and Barryโ€™s, Merton (cheers you two) Saturday 13th December 2014. Rich toffee dominates, colour in (note it is in subdued light) appears tawny. Fairly traditional, malty with English hops (probably). Par for the course for Elgoods. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is woody light hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with malty hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A very bitter session ale.
