500ml bottle from a Beer & Wine shop, Ledbury high street. Very pleasantly surprised by this one, pours a luscious golden colour with a light sparkle. Has a distinctly smoky character with oaky - almost whisky-like - woody notes, almost like this was pressed during a boozy village BBQ. Coarse tannins round things out with a dusty cider-shed dryness seeing things through. Cider with real character this. Love it.

Polycask at FFTMC, Oxford with Loz, Jan, Charlotte Sun 23rd Oct 2011 A little earthy but with a nice warmth, the apples are not too sharp or tangy, nose is soft and rustic and with overripe apples, like apple skins warming in the sun. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle from the Bristol Cider Shop. Straw coloured with a slight fizz. Sweet, slightly flinty aroma, with a touch of barnyard character in the background. Flavour of baked apples, with slightly spicy fruit, a dessert apple perfumed edge and medium dry finish. Unusual and enjoyable.
