Lots of citrus and pretty in-your-face for a tripel. Kind of a mash tang finish in here. Pours golden amber with ok head. Some florals, though mash citrus kind of outweighs it. A fair amount of resin. Bottle.

Tap at Pike Brewing, Seattle. Colour is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, sweetness, citrus, some spices, Belgian yeast and malts. Very sweet American-style tripel.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, Idaho. Pours clear golden with a small white dissipating head (I don’t think I’ve ever seen a filtered tripel before). Aroma consists of bubblegum, wheat crackers, clove, cheese, earth. Taste is spicy clove, boozy. Highly carbonated, simple mouthfeel with none of the creaminess I appreciate in this style. Seems pretty unrefined.

Sampler at the brewpub. Gold color, clear beer. Too much banana and a bit too sweet but good lighter body. Its a traditionally sweet American take on a Trippel.

Hazy straw yellow with lacing Lemon grass and whipped topping. Taste is a lovely yeastiness. Very nice. There’s quite easy to detect alcohol and sweetness. Taste is pretty boozy. Could probably do a pint of this based on the orange peel sweetness.

Pours with average to medium head, golden cloudy body. Aroma of sourdough, and spice, coriander. Taste is butter, light tangy hops. Plate is again hops, overall slick mouthfeel. Decent effort.

Pours a fairly light golden color and yields the same colored body with a nice half finger white foamy head that dies within a minute, moderate light somewhat sticky lacing graces the sides of the glass; the aroma is iced pears/apples, a fair amount of honey, a little bit of citrus, a little bit of coriander dosed with a good amount of Belgian yeast, taste is all of the previously mentioned flavors coming through in a floral sort of grainy spicy way; it seems to be fairly easy on the palate and the carbonation is good for the style and for me; overall, I’d say a pretty good Tripel though I’m not a Tripel expert, its still good to me and I’d have again
