A dark brown body is supported by the light scent of banana, pears, blackberries, vanilla, cloves, warm dark cocoa, fresh coffee and tupelo honey intermingled with malty, toasted nutty flavors. Subdued hop notes round out this strong full-bodied Belgian style Brown.

22oz bottle-pours a thin retaining light tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is dark malt-sweet, spices, dark fruit. Taste is rich dark malt-sweet/some chocolate, grainy, husky, spices, dark fruit-cherry/prunes/raisins-vinuous, alcohol, faint hops. No Belgian yeast, but a nice American Dubbel. Mild/minimum carbonation. Thanks to Stevo for sharing.

Aroma of dark fruits and malts. Deep ruby color with a white head that filmed immediately. Medium bodied with very mild carbonation. The flavor starts with the sweetness of candi, follows with, dare I say it, prune (or at least really dark plum), and now some definite heat is present. Caramel pops up a bit. The finish is not really all that sweet, but there is not much to balance except for bits of yeasty spiciness.

Probably the best American dubbel I hve had. Lots of malt in the aroma and flavor. Light fruit. On the sweet side, very well balanced. Dark brown color. They didn’t hold back on quality ingredients and took the time to do this right.

A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet woody combined with light notes of caramel, alcohol, and spices. The flavor is sweet malty - the sweetness making the mouthfeel somewhat sticky, with primary notes of caramel, but also some spices - of which cloves are the strongest.

Dark amber body with a small off-white head. Sweet candi and spice aroma. Sweet spice and caramel flavor with a bit more candi sugar in the end.

Nice clear brown color with a small tan head. Taste is fruity with some caramels, bittersweetness, spices, and yeast. I liked the balance of flavors and the crisp, clean finish.

Dark brown pour with big bubbles. The nose is sweet, malty and yeasty. Fruits, both fresh and ripe, are evident. The flavor is filled with raisin and plum, brown sugar and orange. Juicy mouthfeel with a dry finish. A bit of pepper and spice linger. Nicely carbonated.

A pretty authentic version of the style - nice dark amber color with a thick ring of tan lacing - aroma of figs, dates, brown sugar, port and slight alcohol - surprisingly dry, but with enough sweetness/malt to keep it from being overly so - somewhat vinous, with soft carbonation - brown sugar and raisins come in late, along with some caramel malt - just enough alcohol burn to remind you of its strength - pretty nicely done.
