Bottle shared in London - cheers to Fergus. Pours clear yellow with a small foamy head. Pretty sweet, some minerality, ripe apples, salt. Medium bodied. Sugary finish, more jammy apples and mellow salty kiss. Sound.

On 23rd Jan 2019 I decided to change all my 34 'ticks' for no-beers into rates. Every 'tick' scored a '3', this will not change as they become 'rates'. My 'ticks' were Ciders, Meads, Perrys and Sake. This is a cider!

Bottled. Still pale golden. Mouldy, woody apple aroma. Very dry with notes of blue cheese and salted leather. Even drier finish with notes of wood and dust. Intense and interesting.

75cl bottle from Battlefield farm shop, Shrewsbury. Aroma is a cross between a very sweet (American) apple pie and an ancient forest. Golden brown colour, immediately very dry with a slick texture. The Browns and Mitchelin apples add a sweet balance to the Dabinett. A great cider, even if it did send me straight to sleep after one glass!

Bottle from Bristol Cider shop. Deep gold in colour with a touch of carbonation. Medium applem fruit aroma with a touch of the barnyard. Flavour had plenty more medium fruit juice, with a hint of earthiness and medium dry finish. Went well with food.
