Poured from a 16 oz can dated August 04, 2020. Aroma is very chocolate forward with loads of dark chocolate and bitter chocolate. Quite a bit of vanilla and lighter notes of roast, dark caramel, toffee and toasted bread. Light alcohol spice. Pours jet black with a large, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a small, thick, film that lingers. Flavor is very sweet with lots of dark and bitter chocolate notes. Quite a bit of roast and leather with lighter notes of caramel, toffee and toasted bread. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol spice. Medium light vanilla notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice stout with solid vanilla and chocolate notes. Loads of creamy, dark, bitter chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden.
