Unremarkable cloudy ale. Probably best to leave the Belgian yeast to the expert Belgian brewers.

JDW Fest. Clear gold beer, residual white head. Smooth palate, very light carbonation. Semi dry. Medium straight malt supports (for a UK beer) some hop depth. Sweetish orange marmalade with a trace of peach. Dry finish with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Overall quite a sweetish beer, a little carbonation would have gone a long way here!

Cask handpull at Monks Retreat Reading JDW. The last of the beer festival beers for me. Gold with a slight haze and a thin cream head. Some yeast character on aroma. sOme malt in mouth. Touch of earthy hop on the finish. Its a touch dull. Touch of fruit salad in mouth.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial rooms (JDW), Bristol 11/04/2011. Deep gold in colour with a slight white head. Sweet, candy sugar aroma with a touch of floral hop and Belgian yeasts. Flavour also had plenty of syrupy sweetness, with some honey and fruits and dryish finish. Ok.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours a clear, yellow-gold with a mild film. Fruity, juicy and sweet aroma, bit of dough and orange. Sweet flavor, some caramel, honey, sugary malts, orange and grass. Medium to full in body with fine carbonation. Finish has some candi sugar, more dough, yeast, mild lemonn and grass, slight gum. Interesting beer, pretty well done.
