This American-Style Pale Ale is aggressively hopped giving it a citrusy flavor and aroma. No antidote needed. This beer is dark-golden, medium-bodied and very hoppy. It is American-style because American-grown hops are used rather that European.

Location: Draft & Nitro at the Fells Point Brew Pub, 9/6/09
Aroma: Draft: Citrus hop, pine nose 7/8
Nitro: Similar but weaker nose 6/7
Appearance: Draft: Clear amber-gold, thin head 3
Nitro: A bigger, creamier head, less amber/red in color 4
Flavor: Draft: A nice hoppy flavor, similar to the nose 7
Nitro: Fairly similar flavor to the draft version 7
Palate: Draft: Medium body, nice mouthfeel, long duration 3/4
Nitro: Fairly similar to the draft, but a little creamier and fuller 4
Overall Impression: Overall, I like this beer in both serving style. It just works pretty well. This is a really solid brew pub IPA, that is well made and highly drinkable. (Draft: 14, Nitro: 14)
**Tried to make the scoring to make a composite of the two different samplings.

A nice amber golden ale with a thin white head. A pleasant c-hops aroma with light orange pulp. In mout, a clasy c-hop IPA with grapefruits, citrus. Nice. Medium bodied. On tap at Duclaw Baltimore, Dec. 29 2008.

Nice deep amber coloured body with a large off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, nice malt and a lot of sugars too! Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour tucked in with some good caramel and a nice grassy flavour. Aftertaste potent and revealing all of the good grassy and floral tastes. Overall, a very nice IPA - definitely worth trying again! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.

a good pale ale. Strong hop aroma. Flavor has more hops but is well balanced by sweet malt. Good citrus character to this beer.

[Draft at the Bowie location] An amber beer with a thin dense off-white head. The aroma is nicely hoppy with notes of grapefruit - which leads the thoughts towards Cascade, but also a light caramel note. The flavor is nice with a good presence of aroma hops, slight notes of toffee, and a fine delicate bitter finish. I also had this on nitro, which made the aroma weaker and the mouthfeel more smooth.

This beer surprises you all the way through. An clear copper color with white head. Very hoppy aroma with citrus notes. The taste is complex, hoppy, citrus, malty and grainy. This beer is great right until the finish which is far too astringent and acidic for the rest of the beer. This beer is aggressive which pays off until the end. Worth a try for you.
