Golden beer with a creamy off white head. Tangy fruit aroma. Flavour is tart and sweet but it mellows quite quickly and there’s a certain dry hop aftertaste to balance it out.

Sample @ SBWF. Very strange golden ale. Notes of paper, vegtables and light malts. Watery. Boring.

Bottle at SBWF. Pours very pale yellow. Sweet wheat taste, bit thin and bitter like a low abv lager.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol. Golden with a slight white head. Sweetish apricot and tangerine aroma with some leafy hop. Flavours of caramel, more fruit and a relatively bitter finish. Ok.

Clear 500ml bottle best before April 2013: poured into a UK pint sleeve on 11th June 2012. As the name suggests, this is a golden/amber coloured beer, the head I produced was full at first but the off-white bubbles soon became a wisp and collar. The nose and taste were a well balanced mix of hops and malts: nothing strong or overpowering, just a pleasant flavour and feel to the brew. Easy to drink, semi-sweet mouthfeel with only a mild bitterness: alcohol content that is well hidden and the 4.5% suits it nicely.

Cask at the CPK, Pimlico, London on 5th January 2011. Clear amber with an off white ring of foam and no lacing. Aroma is strongly of sweetcorn, main taste is a blend of maltiness, with maize and herb notes and the finish features herby back-of-mouth bitterness building as the corn taste fades. Front-of-mouth sweetness lingers, and the two combine in a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Mouthfeel light to smooth. An interesting beer. The first time I have experienced this corn taste outside the US.

Cask handpull at Ye Olde Thristy Pig, Maidstone. Hazy gold. Thin white. It’s an ok tasty golden ale. Some decent white stone fruit flavour. Some ok hop. Bit plain, but utterly fine.

Cask at Market Porter, London. Pours a pale yellow with a soft head. Modest malt aroma with some grassy hops. Lightly swwet flavor with mild bread, grass and some smoked malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. An awkward finish, with modest sweetness and salty, hammy smoked malts. Not bad, just weird.
