Cask at Campion Social Club, Bradford - clear gold body, lasting white head. Spicy citrus tang, good wintery feel to this, despite being so pale. Gentle caramel sweetness, nice all rounder.

Cask at Gordon Highlander. It pours clear oily golden with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is fragrant, floral, quite savoury , spicy, coriander seeds, slight nuttiness, perfumed, orange peel and kumquat. The taste is firmly dry, bitter snap, fragrant, floral, pithy, zesty, orange peel, slightly soapy, light tannin, festive spice, toasty grain, sponge cake and panettone with a drying finish. Average body and fine/soft carbonation. Not quite sure the spice level works with a pale ale, but it drinks fine in a half.

Cask-conditioned at the W G Grace (JDW), Bristol 24/11/2023. Hazy gold (which probably explains why the beer was on sale as a manager's special at £1.49 a pint), with a frothy, white, head. Some citrus character, yeasty grains, a hint of spiciness, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Bright clear gold beer, untidy white head. Palate is light with a fine minerally crispness. Airy malts, trace of creamy sweetness. Nice crystallised friuts, especially orange. Very nicely judged spice because it is very sparingly applied. Finishes smooth. Nicely executed. Very drinkable.
