Bottle split at the pre GBBF Shindig '18, thanks, 04/08/18 - as Winter Solstice. Rich chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit, fruit rinds, nutty, herb, light orange, spice. Taste comprises dusty fruits, biscuit, cinnamon, caramel, light spice, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so.

12oz bottle pours a caramel amber with some sticky, off white head. Nose has caramel, spice, feet, paper. Flavor is OK, caramel, spice, fruit cake, some amber malt. Finishes mercifully dry.

Bottle thanks to MagicDave. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is very spicy, cinnamon, festive, candy, cola, sugary, sticky, oily, fruit cake and brown bread. The taste is bitter - sweet, oily, sticky, candy, toffee spice, festive, cola, earth, damp leaves and graininess with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty bolloxed spiced beer. Ho-hum.

Brownish-orange pour with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of grainy malt and spices. Medium body with a ripe fruity character and notes of cinnamon and citrus. The finish is earthy malt with a spice aftertaste. Just average overall.

Bottle from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Poured a murky dark chestnut colour with a slight beige head. Sweet malty nose with some vague spice lurking. Slightly cloying fkavour with no real depth and little in the finish. Drinkable but drab.

Bottle at CPK, thanks to Ken. Pours hazy amber with a filmy head. Weird aroma, notes of spice, cardboard, dry malts. Sweet and spicy flavor, yeah, but not actually very good. Perhaps some cinnamon and brown sugar, lots of odd malt character. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, "winter" spice finish, more malts and faint bitterness. Lots of awkward sugars on the finish. Ehhhhh.
