Hearty and satisfying, our Coffee Stout is the ultimate full-bodied brew. Wisconsin water, roasted malts and American hops are the natural ingredients we use to brew this bier. Then cold pressed organic coffee from Just Coffee Co-op is infused into the brew.
Expect this bier to pour a deep creamy head over an ebony rich body. Notice the powerful malt bouquet balanced by a spectrum of extravagant flavor. Served at room temperature this Wisconsin Coffee Stout is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart

Barley rich medium roast coffee aroma. Cloudy brown, thin tan head. Medium body, even on the thin side for the style. Coffee and cola flavor. Powdery mouthfeel. Lackluster finish, maybe some clove. Not a bad beer at all, but New Glarus isn’t as spectacular as some would have you believe. I think I’ll stick to the beers that are available in my state and leave these to the good people of Wisconsin.

Pours a nice deep, dark brown with a moderate head. The coffee is very noticeable both in the aroma and the flavor. This is a thick, rich, complex beer with some chocolate and other sweet notes in the background. Some fruitiness and malt flavors evident as well. Not a bad stout at all!

12oz bottle. Deep red-black color, small but lasting head. Perfect roasty coffee aroma, well done. Lots of smooth chocolate flavor, some mild cocoa and hop bitterness as well. There is some noticeable coffee flavor, but never overwhelming or in your face. Score another one for New Glarus, top notch brew.

courtesy of abends. Pours dark brown with mocha head. Aroma is just simple and filled with coffee - espresso, light roasted malts. Taste is also very straight forward. light roasted malts, light hoppy bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel, faint bitter finish but remains loaded with coffee. Goods tuff, not too complicated just plain good coffee.

12 ounce bottle shared by cdumler. Thanks! Pours a dark chocolate brown color with a medium head. Fair head retention and good lacing. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and buttery notes. Taste is slightly bitter coffee with cocoa and bitter fruit notes. Slightly thin. Very drinkable and quite nice coffee flavour.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours deep dark amber with rich looking mocha head and some cobweb lacing. The aroma is sweet smelling with sweet malts that are only mildly roasty mixed with a hint of molasses, some mild coffee notes and chocolate. In the taste I get rich chocolate malts, roasted malts, some mild coffee and notes of malt balls and cotton balls (hmm). I’m also getting molasses as the finish approaches along with an off note of faint soap.

Bottle courtesy of Monger: Poured a clear black color stout with a nice big foamy brown color head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry coffee is dominating but not to the point of being gross. Body is a bit light with some great carbonation. Definitely not en extreme example of a coffee stout but a well balance example that I wouldn’t mind having access to on amore regular basis.
