Bottle from Booths, Media City. It’s almost an amber beer in style and look with a pleasant orange citrus taste, but its texture is also that of a bitter, but not a best bitter. Tangy and tasty.

50cl bottle from the Tatton estate shop. Bright amber with a thin cream head; pleasant malty aroma; crisp citrus taste to start with a smooth malty body; and a gentle but lasting grassy bitterness. A rather good bitter.

Cask at the Pig’s Ear BF 2010. Pure, clear amber pour with no head. Mild malts in the nose with faint toast and berries. Decent flavor, nicely balanced, with some bready malts, faint toast and sweet berries. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Light sugars on the finish, malty and bready. Above average overall.
