Rating from 3-22-2010...Medium brown color...it smells like the coca cola syrup Mama used to give me with an upset belly "did you put it in your mouth?"....licorice in my mouth along with a bready malt...its intriguing, verging on weird....a little over carbonated and bitter finish

Bottle @ Stephen’s house thanks to André! Pours a cloudy brown appearance with a moderate, light brown head. A touch minty, spicy green weedy, juniper, a bit funky aroma. Spice rack, juniper, grassy/weedy, weird citrus fruity, lightly tart flavor. Not my favorite but fun to try.

Tap. Pours clear ruby amber with a medium tan head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, molasses, herbs, light spices, light dried fruit. Initial aroma is slightly tart, but that fades as the beer breathes. Flavor is the same, medium sweet with a bit of tartness, lightly astringent. Notes of orange zest and light spices. Medium sweet and creamy. Nice enough.

Bottle at ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London - thanks to Henrik for this beer! Pours cloudy ruby-brown with a delicate tan cream head. Big tangy berry nose, light spices, fruitcake, light cinnamon. Medium sweet flavor with herbs, pine and spruce, light alcohol, tangy berries, mellow funk. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderate warmth to finish, more spruce and spices, light sour berries, plums. Well rounded, good funky touches and tart fruits, nice herbal character, juniper and wood. Very dynamic.
