Bottle from Scrattings. Pours a clear gold, some bubbles. This one has a certain yeasty funk note giving it some better character than the other 2 Burrow Hill ciders I have tried. Some wood, apple pith and skins, dry finish, quite tasty.

Taste is tart, apple, apple skins, green apple, wood, oak, vanilla & funk, with some very dry tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying tangy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable cider.

Bottle from the Royal Glen Hotel, Sidmouth. Clear pale gold coloured. Very dry with a lingering apple flavour in the palate as well as a fizz here too. Fair aroma.

Sampled at the Cock Tavern. Clear yellow golden color, no head. Smells as to be expected: slightly sweet apple juice. Tastes about the same: apple, sweet apple, very dry, lychees. Average body, soft carbonation. Nice and refreshing, but I bit too sweet for me to really like it.
