Pours a clear golden colour with an average white head. Aroma of malts, bread, ripe fruits.Taste is quite sweet, sugary. In fact, a bit too sugary for me to return to it. Also too much alcohol in the taste. Dry finish. Average at best, there are so many better tripels available.

Pours a completely clear golden body and and a rocky, somehwat sticky white head with little retention. Aroma's: pretty typical Belgian tripel, fruity and sugar, along with esters and Belgian yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet with some bitternes. Medium bodied. Finishes with some caramel, moderate bitter. I used to loathe Grimbergen long time ago, but it's not that bad (anymore).

Bottle from Wine Raks, St Swithin St. It pours clear oily golden - amber with a a lasting, fluffy white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, oily, perfumed, dried apples, pear drops, melon, candy, boiled sweets, caramel, toasty brown sugars, toasty grain and some sponge cake. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, sweet - sour, damp grain, grassy vibes, herbal, spicy, floral, pear, apple, melon, kick of fairly alcohol, toasty grain and straw with a drying, spicy finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Nice fruity twang, if a touch raw in the booze front.
