Bottle from Deli Belge, Sowerby Bridge, simply as ’Nook Red’. Amber-red with a thin head. Lightly berry-sweetened ale with an easy enough drinking texture.

Bottle from Yorkshire Terrier Bottle shop. Rich red colour with a thin beige head. Caramel aroma with rasen, taste follows this, with a light malty sweetness, and hint of spice.

500ml bottle - Dark amber/ruby body, thin white froth on top, rich caramel nose. Sharp malty tang on the way in, bitterness and crisp spicy orange on the way out. It seems okay, but not the best I’ve had from Nook.

Cask. An amber beer with a dense orangey head. The aroma has notes of fruit, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of toffee on a medium malty background, leading to a bitter finish.

Cask. I put this down simply as "Nook Red". Clear reddish amber with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Nutty aroma. Medium body, sweet toffee and roasted malt with a rather subdued bitterness. 190110

Cask, gravity at The White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks, Thames Tipple Leg 9 (Fins brucie bonus again) 13-03-10 Pours reddy/amber in fact I would say more copper coloured with a small white filmy head and good clarity. I get ginger in the mouth which I was quite chuffed about having noted this is in the tasting notes, it was immediatly evident to me though by no means overpowering. Nicely fruity with a steady bitterness, some fruitiness on the nose. A good beer. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4
